Kitsilano Workout offers two body conditioning classes, Bodyblast and Bodysculpt.: a way for members to get a challenging muscle strength and conditioning workout in a class setting. One of the main benefits is the care and instruction given by the teacher on proper form and expanding the participant’s knowledge of strength activities that they can incorporate into their own training programs.
Bodysculpt is an all-levels class that gives participants a good strength conditioning workout at a moderate level.
Bodyblast is designed for the more advanced participant, this challenging muscular strength and endurance class works the entire body using heavy weights, tubes, and manual resistance. The emphasis is on strength over cardio. There is no choreography to worry about in either Bodysculpt or Bodyblast.
Benefits of weight bearing exercise: 1. The more muscle you have, the more efficiently your body burns fat. 2. The more tone you are, especially in the core, (the muscles in your abdominal and lower back area) the more sturdy and balanced you are. More graceful and less apt to injury. 3. Great prevention for bone loss diseases, such as Osteoporosis. 4. Look and feel great! Get the body you want!
What to bring: Wear fitness attire and good running shoes. Bring a towel and a bottle of water.
