Chiro Class is a class taught by a doctor of chiropractic that is dedicated to strengthening and stabilizing the core musculature, with the goal of preventing injuries in your lower back.
The first part of the class consists of a brief warm-up session (step-ups), followed by stretching and/or balance exercises. The class is instructed in a series of core strengthening exercises on the exercise mat or using the stability ball. Chiro class is designed for all ages and levels of physical fitness, with the Chiropractor providing a number of options or modifications for each exercise depending upon the participants' abilities. At the end of the class, there is usually 5-10 minutes set aside for some therapeutic stretching and/or meditation exercises for stress reduction.

Participants are recommended to wear comfortable exercise clothing. Running shoes/cross-trainers are optional - bare-feet is suggested, but not mandatory. It is also suggested that the members bring a small bottle of water to the class to stay hydrated. All other equipment required to take the class is provided by Kitsilano Workout.
