All Levels : Yoga Jazz Fusion: This class contains a yoga warm up and cool down and cardio infused with aerobic Jazz movements. Capoiera: An exciting class of Brazilian martial arts. This class combines self-defense, dance, music, and acrobatics into a vigouros games of ritualized combat, Bellydancing: Infectious rhythms move through basic steps empowering poses all designed to strengthen all parts of the body, get the heart pumping, and keep you smiling. Latin FunkTM I: Lively Latin rhythms capture your spirit and move your body to the beat with this high-energy dance fitness class which fuses 6 different Latin dance styles, hip-hop, and Afro/Funk into a fabulous all-round workout. Chiro Class: A practicing chiropractor instructs a full body strengthening class on the bodyball focusing on deep core stabilizing. Bodysculpt: A challenging muscular strength and endurance class for the entire body using weights, tubes and manual resistance. Indo Jazz Dance ™: A combination of Jazz and Hip-hop styles are paired with Indian Contemporary and folk dance performed to Bollywood and World music. Beginner Classes : Hatha Yoga: Develop self awareness with a combination of gentle stretching, breathing relaxation and strength building asanas (postures). All levels welcome. Power Yoga I: Synchronize mind, body and breath with this sequence of powerful postures designed to stretch and strengthen. Pilates I: Improve core stability and strength while developing flexibility, balance, proper alignment and co ordination. Intermediate Classes : Pilates II: 4-8 Pilates I classes are a pre requisite for this more advanced pilates sequence. Power Yoga II: 4-8 Power Yoga I classes are a prerequisite for this intense yoga practice. Latin FunkTM II: 4-8 Latin Funk classes are a prerequisite for this intense Latin Funk workout. Yoga Sculpt: Hatha Yoga focusing on the breathe, the power of the mind and it's control over the body, for the ultimate in body sculpting. Bodyball: A variety of challenging moves on the exercise ball is designed for a full body workout while improving core stability and balance. Gym Stick: Gym Stick is a fitness tool that combines the exercise stick and exercise band. This workout incorporates the Gym Stick with cardio/step boxing, muscle conditioning, core balance & flexibility. Butts ‘n’ Gutts: Using free weights and bodyballs, this class is designed to give you a cardio workout while also targeting the abs and glutes. Dance Cardio n’ Sculpt: A high energy cardio class Ballet stretch warm up - intense cardio emphasizing flow and a connection with the music - dance-inspired post-cardio – body sculpt using hand weights and working all of the muscle groups. Aerobic ball: A cardiovascular workout, followed by strengthening and stretching exercises utilizing the exercise ball to improve overall conditioning. Hip Hop: Tear it up on the dance floor while improving your fitness with these veteran hip hop dance instructors. Intermediate Advanced : Precision Cycling: This fun cardio class takes place on Kaiser Spin bikes and mimics road riding with rolling hills, high mountains, and challenging race scenarios. Circuit Training Boxing: Progressive training to suit all fitness levels while conditioning the body using genuine boxing techniques and drills. Set in a circuit style and includes some one-on-one instruction. Ab Crunch/Core Class: This dynamic sequence of abdominal exercises incorporates exercise balls, weights, medicine balls and mat work all designed to target your core and stabilizers. Bodyblast: For the more advanced participant, this challenging muscular strength and endurance class works the entire body using heavy weights, tubes, and manual resistance. Step Power Moves: An intense power step and low impact pump cardio, followed by endurance and strength training with tubes and heavy hand held weights. Power Moves: A non-patterning challenging pump workout followed by several different muscle conditioning techniques to enhance athletic and fitness performance. Step Workout/ Step n’ Sculpt: A cardiovascular class using high impact intervals followed by muscle conditioning on the step. Step and Strength: An intense 60 minute circuit class combining step intervals followed by muscular conditioning using heavy hand held weights, tubes and manual resistance. TBC (Total Body Conditioning): A combination of Cardio and Strength Training all in one class. Using step, free weights, low impact poser moves, balance and core exercises for a power packed class. Advanced Classes : Extreme Step/Step Only: Jam packed with non-stop choreography, this dance based intense session combines the best of advanced step and hi-lo designed to make you sweat. Kits Grind: Designed for athletes, this aggressive class is packed with plyometrics, explosive training, speed drills, working fast twitch muscles for acceleration, core work and more. Whatever your sport, improve your performance with this high intensity class. Double Step: A step class using two reebok steps side by side with easy patterns which travel them back and forth between the steps. This is an intermediate to advanced level class. Kitsilano Workout is the only club in town that offers this class. |
