Summer 2006
Message From Leslie:
I’m very excited about the future of Kitsilano Workout. First of all, I want to thank all of our members for your support, your input and your encouragement over the past year. We have witnessed many changes as well as phenomenal growth.
Secondly, I want to address all of the rumors and concerns out there about the ownership of Kitsilano Workout. It is true that after the untimely passing of my business partner, Joe Gibb, that many people inquired about purchasing the company. The Gibb family looked at several options, but in the end, we decided the best outcome for Kitsilano Workout was to be 100% owned and operated by yours truly, Leslie Arnold. I am happy to say that I am thrilled to be the new sole owner, and I believe that the club will benefit from having one owner, one direction, one vision: to make Kitsilano Workout the best club in Western Canada, hands down. I know that would have made Joe happy, and I do miss working with him.
I have great plans for a future full of growth and member satisfaction. Member feedback is of utmost importance. Both the good and the bad! I am available for members every Monday through Thursday; 5-7 p.m. and I look forward to partnering with you in making Kitsilano Workout all it can be.

And remember,
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows that it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows that it must out run the slowest gazelle or it will starve.
It does not matter whether you are a lion or gazelle. When the sun comes up you had better be running.
Free Guest Fridays:
Every Friday, members may sign in a guest to try the club. Did your friend become a member? Don’t forget to receive your free referral month! We also have a gift for you every Friday. Yogurt covered raisins, gift packaged for you, on the front counter. Go ahead, just take one! We want to show you that we appreciate your patronage.
Dr. Ryan Iverach:
Upon his return to Canada, he has been working at Kitsilano Workout as a Personal Trainer and Chiro Class Instructor for the past eight months. Chiro classes are taught three times a week and focus on strengthening the core muscles. These classes help to develop an awareness of the postural muscles that are typical contributors to upper and lower back pain. Dr. Ryan teaches Monday nights at 8:30 p.m. Check the aerobics schedule for all of the chiro classes and chiropractors available at the gym.
Please inquire at the front desk if you are interested in booking a personal training session with Dr. Ryan. Maximize your health…and your performance!
